ATSIMA, along with the Aboriginal Communities of the Dharawal and Yuin peoples of the Illawarra and South East Coast, is excited to announce that the second Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mathematics Alliance conference will be held from Sunday 30 October to Wednesday 2 November at the University of Wollongong and Sandon Point Aboriginal Tent Embassy.
The overarching theme of the conference will be quality teaching and learning in mathematics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
With the growing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) agenda in Australia and around the world, it is critical that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are not left out of the equation and have the opportunity to be a part of this future:
Value us. Value our education. Value our future.
